FAT Performance Purchased Rimco VW Machine Shop in 2017. This brings two of the pioneer companies in the air cooled industry together to better serve you.
FAT has the performance background and experience of 47 years in the motor building and cylinder head machining.
Rimco was established in August of 1962. It started as a small machine shop catering to a few weekend racers.
As the years progressed so did Rimco. Special jigs and fixtures were made for every job and Quality Control measures were put into place to insure our goal that our customers product is 100 percent to specifications before the job leaves our building. RIMCO has been specialized and the top VW Machine Shop.
With over 155 mills, lathes and specialty machines Rimco is the perfect VW Machine Shop to handle your needs. Our employee base has average of 22 years with the company. Basically, our employees know how to service your needs.
With our Service and Parts Department you can take care of most all your needs in one place.
Check out the entire website to view all of our VW Machine Shop services and just a few of the products we sell. We are an Authorized retailer of many of the aftermarket manufactures. Feel free to call and ask for a quote on parts, service or a build.
Since the early 70's FAT & RIMCO has been machining, building & racing air-cooled engines & components. RIMCO has machined over 250,000 VW engine cases. With over 200 services. We have the ability and know-how to handle all of your project.
With all of our years of service we have build fixtures and jigs which allows us to be the best VW machine shop in quality. In the early 60's we have had several of the Volkswagen Engineers from Germany stop by and tour our facility. We inspect every job as it arrives. Upon inspection we will notify you of any findings as well as communicate our recommendations. From stock cases and components, all service jobs that we take in receive the same top notch quality! We have been doing this for so long that we only know one way to do things; the right way.
We strive to be better. One way that we can do that is to provide great customer service. We have taken a look at how we have communicated and have stepped it up. Upon receiving your job into our shop form the many carriers that bring us multiple packages every day, we will notify you that we have received it. When we open the package and get the e-mail address off of the note we will send you an e-mail that we have received your job. We will then ask for any information that we might need just to get the job started into our system. Once the job is in the system, one of our VW machine shop experts will contact you if there are any questions or concerns with your job. As your job goes through our shop this is a great time to communicate with us on any additional parts that you might need. Again remember that if you add parts to any service job it will be cheaper in shipping and handling than to order from two separate locations. Once your job is complete we will contact you for any additional information and notify you that you package has been shipped and give you the tracking number.
